Chatting with Esse

Faith has apparently found her voice this week and will chat with anyone who will listen. Her animals are her favorite audience and she tells them everything. They are becoming quite close. One of her favorites is Esse the Snake. Here is a full conversation between Esse and Faith. I am not sure where she got this new idea to talk ALL THE TIME. Faith's First Kiss

Faith's social calendar was very full this weekend. Started Thursday night with a visit in Seattle to see Penelope and Josie. Friday morning was spent haging out with Grandpa David while Mommy got her hair "did." Friday night Brian and Bales showed up and we added Frank to the mix and headed to dinner. We went out to Bob's for burgers (A Bellingham favorite). Saturday morning Faith hung out with Daddy and napped while Mommy went to a baby shower. Saturday evening Faith got to meet the Seahawks. Sunday morning the Gray's stopped by with Kellan and Faith received her very first KISS! She is now grounded for a month!

Nighty Night

Just did the nightly ritual of reading Faith a book she has no interest in and completely doesn't understand. The book of choice tonight is the Big Red Barn. I will probably read her the same book every other night for the next 6 months. At that point, I'll just hold her up to my face and recite it to her.

I have to say this is one of my favorite times of the day.

I know we already posted today but I couldn't help but post this picture of Faith right before we put her to bed. I think she praying that we let her stay up just a few minutes more!

Tum Tum Tummy Time

After many unsuccessful attempts at Tummy Time we finally had a good session. She lifted her head up higher today than I have ever seen it and she was happy doing it. Usually she hates it and barely lifts her head off the blanket before yelling at mommy and daddy and giving up!

As an update............... Faith went to the doctor today due to her voice sounding like Demi Moore and a frog all mixed up in one. Turns out our Little Punkin Pie has a sinus infection. First round of antibiotics at 3.5 months old. Poor chiquita. Here's to hoping in a few days that Demi's voice will be given back to her and we will hear sweet little Faith's voice once again!

Who or what is that?

Faith and Jada "Don't call me Pinkett Smith" Hinderman met each other for the first time this last weekend when Neely was up from Seattle. Faith seemed a bit unsure of Jada while Jada wasn't too concerned about Faith's confusion. Later that night though, Faith was all smiles. She normally has a huge case of tude at night but this night she was pretty happy!

Blogging 101

Good morning ~ Not really sure how to blog but we are going to give it a go. Faith is growing up so fast and we want to capture every moment and share as much of it with you as we can. Two nights ago she learned to roll onto her side. So very cute to see her sleeping like an adult rather than a newborn baby.

Egan and I both agree ...... we love watching her do and learn new things but at the same time there is something inside that says "Not yet. Please don't grow up too fast Faith!" It's a constant tug of war between "Hurry up and do this new thing" and "Slow down so I can enjoy this time with you"

Last week she started her new daycare. We love it there. They are fantastic people and give us report cards on her daily activity. Although I miss her all day long while she is there I feel good that she is with good people and will grow up with some good social skills. Hopefully it will help her be very independent and happy............. is that too much pressure to put on a daycare after only day 1?
